Term 1, Week 9

Good afternoon Year 5's,

After the first week of the AFL season, it is not looking good for the boys in purple. It is definitely looking a lot brighter for the boys in blue and yellow. According to a student this morning the Eagles lost because of the "umpires cheating". I did inform them that the only cheaters we have in Australian sport at the moment are Steve Smith and his gang.

Holy Week Reflections:
On Wednesday 28th March, the Year 5 & 6 students will be presenting a reflection on Good Friday and the stations of the cross.

The Year 6 students will be doing the readings and most speaking parts. The Year 5 students have been given the acting part. Some children have been given specific roles, they will know who they are. We are asking that all other children come dressed in a simple costume reflective of the time of Jesus. They are to wear this over the top of their school uniform and are to come to school dressed and ready to go on Wednesday morning.

Easter Egg Raffle:
Please make sure that you have brought in your donation for the raffle which will be held on Thursday. Your child was given their raffle tickets this morning.
All money raised during this time is donated to Project Compassion.

Parent Teacher Interviews:
I have placed a schedule up on the front door of the class, if you can please write down your name on a time that suits. In week 11 they will be conducted at the following times:

·      9/4/18 - Monday afternoon
